Hello, my name is Deana. Today, I'm asking a question that's really important for me because-- well, the question is: How can I structure my class so I love it?.

The reason why I'm asking this is I have a new class that I can structure it however I want but I keep thinking, I don't know. It's in our class and I've taught it before, but no, it's like that old way, I don't like it anymore. I want something new because I've gotten bored, but how?

I've been thinking, and thinking, and thinking, I don't know so do a drawing about it. That’s this is drawing, how can I structure my class so that I love it? Notice on the side, well, there's that blue scribbled across there. Blue is about spirituality. I know that it is really going to be good for me, if it's spiritual and if spirituality runs through everything. Across the bottom, there's brown, that's grounding.

Also, it means, well, it's old knowledge, like things that I've learned a long time ago. That is, of course, what I'm going to use here now for this new class. Yes, naturally, because you would need to know how to draw or whatever. If you notice here, the yellow, I don't know if you can see it, but the yellow is across everywhere. For me, it's just a really happy, really happy color.

Before, yes, I've known a lot about art, but now I understand that if I'm making a plan. If I'm feeling really happy, that's perfect. If I'm not happy, if I feel-- when I'm making those plans then I'm not going to do that. That helps a lot, but look over on the left, the purple. It's purple. It's about abundance. Right now, because we're talking about a class, I would say that abundance really is probably literally about money. The orange and that squiggly line, the orange, for me, it's about comfort.

Now, in this case, it would mean that when I'm ready for the class, what I'm going to do in the class, I need to feel happy and comfortable. I really need for it to be a spiritual thing because I connect with that, the spirituality. Also, notice how along the bottom, there are the colors spring up from that. Thinking about the question, the structure of the class, right? It feels to me like it's really just different than before because before, I really liked-- in the past, I've always liked to have like, "First do this thing. Second, do this thing. Next, do this thing. Continue on with the list, keep doing this thing and then practice."

Now, that just makes me bored. It's the same, I start with the foundation, okay? Yes, but then what do I do? We're making the art, so first, you do need a foundation but I'm thinking it's more like allowing people to grow up with how it's right for them to grow. They need to grow their way. If my class, the structure is still there like it was before, but it's loose, it's loose. People can really spring up and grow in an easy way. With different people, it's the same thing. Imagine this. If those colors are also-- they also represent people. It's not always just about me. Yes, it's about me. Yes, it's how I feel, but more like if each of those meant a person in the class.

If the purple was a person, the yellow was a person, the blue is a person, an orange is a person, then that would mean those different people really-- what if one person connects with spirit, a person connects with abundance or happiness, whatever? If that is how they learn best, and if my class is loose so they can find their way, then I am not bored. I'm feeling happy when I'm teaching them because we're still all connecting.

Yes, this is going to be a little hard for me to not structure it like I used to exactly, and that's how I've always done it before. It used to feel good, it used to be my favorite way, but now, I can see that this change is really going to be important for me. I need to learn this new way-- sorry, I'm pointing over there at the picture because for me, it's right there, for you, it's up here.

I need to find a way to make it looser, and easier, just super smooth. That's really new for me and that's okay. I like new things but I'm going to need to learn how to do it this way, how to use this new way of teaching. Okay, I'm going to give it a try.
